Drew Gliwa is a graduate from Chapman University with a major in Dance Performance. He began his training at the age of three at Art in Motion in Champaign, Illinois. Through working with Tricia Trimble, his love for dance began to grow. It wasn’t until he got the opportunity to perform in the Capezio ACE-Awards with Terry Schulke and Mandy Rogers, that he decided that to pursue a professional dance career. After graduating high school at age sixteen, he moved to Orange County to study dance. Drew has performed in the Fall and Spring Dance Concerts, and Chapman Celebration during his time at Chapman. He was awarded for outstanding choreography for his piece, “Sunder”, his sophomore year. He trained under Alicia Guy, Will Johnston, Wilson Mendieta, and Charles Maple. He is a current member of Justin Giles’s SoulEscape company and plans to continue this relationship.
