TRIAL CLASSES:

  • New students are welcome to take a trial class to determine placement before registering. Students under 18 will need to submit a signed parental consent waiver before taking a trial class.

  • Trial classes are $17.00 per class.  Any paid trial classes will be prorated into the monthly tuition after the student has registered depending on date of registration.

REGISTRATION, ENROLLMENT AND MONTHLY TUITION:

  • There is a registration fee of $20 per family due upon initial registration.

  • There is an annual enrollment fee of $10 per student due each September following evaluations and upon fall enrollment.

  • Tuition may be paid with our discounted family rate or by class. You must choose a preferred payment rate plan and may not change back and forth.

  • Tuition is due by the 1st class day of each month, regardless of attendance.

  • Tuition is based on a four week month.  There is no additional charge when there is an occasional 5th class  as this is considered a make up class when the studio is closed for holidays.  There is no tuition reduction due to holiday closures.

  • Tuition will not be adjusted due to absences.  Students may make up missed classes when similar classes are available - see make up policy below.  Tuition will secure your child’s place in class.

  • We accept cash, check or credit card as payment options.  No recurring credit card payment option is available at this time, however you may choose to set up a payment account through your bank’s bill pay option.

  • Call the studio or visit our office for tuition rates.

  • Private lessons are available for an additional fee and may not be used as make-up lessons.

  • All tuition must be current in order for students to participate in any performance or competition activity.

LEVEL PLACEMENT,  ATTENDANCE AND TARDINESS:  

  • Parents must complete a signed registration card and consent waiver for each student before beginning classes.  Please keep the front office updated with current information if changes occur.

  • All final placement and level decisions are made by the directors.  Please see the directors with any level and placement questions.

  • Regular attendance is required for each class.  In order for students to gain strength and promote to each class level, regular attendance is necessary.  

  • If you know that your student will be absent, please notify the studio by phone or e-mail.

  • Elite Dance Academy reserves the right to move a student at any time to a lower level due to inconsistent attendance and inability to maintain the class level.

  • Our season for classes goes from September through August.  Attendance throughout the summer months is highly recommended as instructors are working on finishing curriculum in current levels and preparing students for evaluations for promoting to the next level.

  • Students must be on time to class and are discouraged from leaving class early.  Students who arrive late will need to ask the instructor’s permission to take class.  If a student is 15 minutes late, it will be up to the instructor’s discretion if the student may participate in class.  If student’s are excessively tardy, parents will be contacted.

  • Student’s must wear the appropriate attire to class.  Please see the Elite Dress Code for acceptable attire.

CLASS MAKE UP POLICY:

  • Make up classes are available for most classes and students are encouraged to make up classes when possible.  

  • Tuition will not be adjusted for classes missed (whether make up classes are available or not).

  • Make-up classes must be taken within 30 days of the missed class.

  • Make-up classes must be taken in the style of the class missed (ie: ballet for ballet, jazz for jazz etc.)(jazz, contemporary and lyrical may be made up in turns and leaps).

  • Make-up classes may be taken in current level or lower levels only.

  • No make-up classes may be taken in any tumbling classes - missed tumbling classes may be made up in ballet, jazz or turns and leaps as long as the student takes these classes and is enrolled in the qualifying level.

  • Students will not be permitted to make up missed classes in classes that are full (at maximum enrollment). Please check ahead of time for class availability before bringing a student to make up a class.

GENERAL STUDIO POLICIES:

  • Please enter and exit through the front doors only.  Back doors are for emergency use only.

  • Use of cell phones or any technical devices are not permitted in the classrooms or in the locker room at any time.

​

  • Parents are welcome to observe classes through viewing windows only.  Please do not delay the instructors for private conversations during class time.  Please see the front office to leave a message for a director or instructor to contact you.

​

  • No food or gum chewing is permitted in the classrooms.  Students may bring labeled water bottles only into the classrooms.

​

  • Please consume food and snacks in the cafe.  Children under 12 need adult supervision to use the microwave.  Please clean up after yourself so that all may enjoy the facilities.

​

  • Our Lobbies, Cafe, Study Hall and Locker rooms are provided for our students and families comfort and convenience.  We ask that all would remember to be courteous to everyone by being responsible for their own belongings, and pick up after themselves. Please respect the furnishings and studio facilities - no standing or climbing on couches and chairs, dispose of trash etc,  For safety reasons, please do not permit young children to stand on chairs to view classes.

     

  • No students or parents permitted in Teacher’s Lounge, all offices and storage rooms.

     

  • The refrigerator is provided for dancers to store a snack or meal for the current day.  Please do not leave anything in the refrigerator overnight.  Items left will be disposed of.

  • Water and snacks are available for purchase for $1.00 at the Studio office.  

  • Please label your child’s belongings including shoes, dance bags, clothing etc.  Any shoes, clothes or other items left behind will be put in the lost and found located at the end of the hall past the locker room.  Items not claimed will periodically be donated.

​

  • Elite Dance Academy will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.  Please leave valuables at home.

​

  • Lockers are available for a yearly rental fee.  Please see the front office for information on lockers.

​

  • Please supervise all siblings and children not in classes.   Siblings are not permitted in the locker room.

​

  • Please keep the toy corner tidy.  Please return toys to their proper place when finished and keep the center walkway clear of toys and small children. 

​

  • No Video Recording of classes is permitted unless you have obtained permission from the instructor prior to class.

​

  • Most communication from the studio will be through e-mail.  We would ask that you please be sure we have your current email on file and ask that you please read any emails coming from Elite to stay up to date and current on all things studio related.  Also, you can check bulletin boards and website for updates.

​

  • Elite Dance Academy extends fair and equitable treatment to all of our customers.

ELITE DANCE ACADEMY DRESS CODE:

 

Elite Dance Academy holds to a modest standard of dress for all of our dance classes. Please follow the dress code for each dance form listed below:

ALL CLASSES:

​

  • All dancers are expected to follow the Elite Dance Academy Dress Code

  • No open midriffs are permitted in ANY class. 

  • No Jewelry shall be worn in any class.

  • Sports bras are the only acceptable undergarments to be worn with leotard

  • Dancers that disregard the dress code will be given a dress code warning citation.

  • No lotions permitted in any class as they make the dance floors slippery.

 

BALLET/POINTE:  

  • Solid colored leotard (Black is preferred).

  • Tights: Pink or black - Required for all ballet classes, pink are preferred (No suntan tights or tights with holes).

  • Pink or black ballet slippers (pink are preferred, canvas or leather are acceptable).

  • Black sports bras are the only acceptable undergarments to be worn with leotard.

  • Ballet skirts (may be worn only in the center); leg warmers are acceptable in the winter.  

  • Hair must be secured in a bun (with hair net and hairpins), bangs must be worn off the face. 

  • No shirts, sweatshirts, leotards with attached skirts, dance pants or shorts.

 

TAP/JAZZ/CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL:

  • Any colored leotard.

  • Tights Required for all Lyrical classes.

  • Black or suntan jazz shoes (preferably slip on, split sole for Jazz and Lyrical), 

  • Black tap shoes for tap

  • Bare feet or socks for contemporary

  • Jazz pants or fitted shorts are acceptable

  • Form fitted dance shirt is acceptable. (no loose shirts).

  • Hair must be pulled back in a pony tail or in a bun.

 

TUMBLING:  

  • Any colored leotard.

  • Tights are not required if tights are worn they must have the Convertible foot (where feet can be uncovered)

  • Bare feet (no shoes or socks) .

  • Hair must be pulled back in a bun.

  • No loose clothing including baggy pants, shorts or tops.

 

HIP HOP:  

  • Baggy/loose street clothes (no open midriffs).

  • Tennis shoes or jazz shoes (be sure street shoes are clean of sand and/or dirt).

 

COMBINATION CLASSES: (Tiny Tots/Kinder Combo classes): 

  • Any colored leotard (any style is acceptable, attached skirts are accepted).

  • Tights: Suntan, pink, white or black . 

  • Pink, black or white ballet slippers and black tap shoes.Hair must be pulled back in a pony tail or style which keeps hair off the neck and out of eyes.

​

BOYS ATTIRE:

  • Any solid colored gym short or dance pants and formed fitted T-shirt (loose shirt for Hip Hop).

ELITE DANCE ACADEMY SAFETY POLICIES

 

Providing a safe environment inside and outside of the studio for all students and families is a top priority at Elite Dance Academy.  Please review and follow these safety procedures and please inform anyone who may bring your child and drop them off for class of these 

policies as well.

 

  • Please park in marked stalls and spaces adjacent to OUR BUILDING ONLY and along the fence where it is not red.   All spaces running along the back of our building are available for parking as well.

  • Please be respectful of the other businesses in our center and do not park or wait in front of the neighboring buildings.

  • Parents of level one and up students are encouraged to drop off and pick up students.  This will help with parking congestion. Please do not stop your car in front of our front door at any time to drop off or pick up students.

  • Pull into a marked stall or all the way up to the fire hydrant before stopping to drop off.

  • Do not double park behind parked cars and wait or leave your car unattended when dropping off students.

  • Do not at anytime, stop and drop off or park on Batavia.

  • If you need to drop off a young dancer and a spot is not yet available, call the front office and the office staff will be happy to come and escort your child to class while you wait for a parking spot. Be patient as spots continuously become available.

  • Please advise your students waiting to be picked up to wait inside the building.

ELITE DANCE ACADEMY PRIVATE LESSON, 

STUDIO RENTAL POLICIES

 

PRIVATE LESSON POLICY:

  • Private lessons are available for technique enhancement and/or choreography for performing within or outside of Elite Dance Academy. 

  • Private lesson payments are to be paid to Elite Dance Academy and are due at the time of the private lesson and should not be combined with any other payment. Cash, Check or Credit Cards are accepted.

  • Private lessons requiring choreography for a dance will incur a one time choreography fee that will be due with the first private lesson or split between the first 2 lessons.  

  • The number of private lessons needed following completion of choreography will be determined by the instructor and student. 

  • Studio space is limited and regular scheduled classes will have priority.  

  • Private lessons will need to be scheduled with the instructor and the front office private lesson calendar.

  • Private lessons rates will vary based on length of lesson. Please call or come into the studio for private lesson rates. 

  • Students interested in performing a Solo/Duet or Trio in Recital Competition or other outside performances will need to see the front office for Solo/Duet/Trio Policy and application.
