Emily has been training in jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, tap, lyrical and musical theatre for over twenty years. She competed both regionally and nationally for over ten years with a variety of Chicagoland companies including Xtreme Dance Force, Perseverance Dance Company and Inspire School of Dance. She furthered her dance education at the collegiate level attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and The University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she graduated and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance. 

Emily was selected as a scholarship recipient for Broadway Dance Center’s 2013 Summer Semester in NYC, was chosen to be Sonya Tayeh’s teaching assistant during her time teaching at the University of Illinois, and was one of forty dancers picked worldwide to attend Jennifer Archibald's 2014 Summer Dance Intensive, ARCHCORE 40, in New York City, where she appeared in her first music video. Emily has had the opportunity to perform in the Chicago Carnival Choreographer’s Ball, at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Festival and at a variety of historic venues with the University of Illinois Illinettes Dance Team including: Soldier Field and The United Center, both in Chicago, IL and The Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Emily is a former member of the LA Clippers Dance Team where she performed at the Staples Center for all of the Clipper's home games. Emily continues performing and is currently a dancer at the Disneyland Resort in various shows, parades and special events. 

Before relocating to California, Emily was a Chicago based teacher and choreographer, teaching a variety of styles to dancers from ages 2 to 18. She is a past Universal Dance Association (UDA) instructor where she taught dance camps as well as judged high school competitions all around the Midwest. Emily has a passion for sharing her love of the art with young dancers and watching them grow as both movers and individuals. She is so excited to continue teaching the talented students at Elite and work along side their amazing teaching staff!
